Attendance

• We will excuse up to 10 absences per school year.
• After that, all subsequent absences will be considered unexcused.

All absences must be called into the attendance line at 303-982-4350 or emailed to Leah.Stockham@jeffco.k12.co.us. 

At Ralston, we understand that mornings can be complicated. However, tardiness severely impacts your students' learning and classroom community. Therefore, we will only excuse five tardies per year. 

If you are picking up your student before 2:15 p.m., please call the office when you are five minutes away:

• Please do not email your student’s teacher or call earlier than five minutes.
• The parent or guardian will need to come into the office and sign out your student.
• This includes students who will be returning to school after appointments.
  • We do not do early pick-ups after 2:15 p.m.

The importance of regular, daily school attendance as a basis for academic achievement cannot be overemphasized. Attendance is a shared responsibility of the student, the families and the school.

It is the family’s responsibility to ensure their student attends school and to notify the school when their student is absent for a legitimate reason, such as an illness or family emergency. Each family should also ensure their student’s school has their correct contact information so that the school is able to communicate about any attendance issues that may arise.
