Library & Research

Ralston Library is filled with books and resources for students. The collections have a variety of books ranging from wordless books, easy readers, picture books, graphic novels and fiction to non-fiction. It also has books with reading levels that range from kindergarten to fifth grade.

Book Check Out By Grade

  • Kindergarten
    • Select one book.
  • First grade
    • Select two books.
  • Second grade
    • Select two books.
  • Third to fifth grade
    • Select two books.
    • Books checked out for classwork do not count toward the limit.

Check-out period

All grades have one week.

Renewals

Unlimited unless a book is on hold.

Fines

  • Fines will not be assessed for overdue books.
  • Fines will be assessed for books that are seriously damaged or lost. 
    • The fine will be based on the replacement cost of the item.

Battle of the Books

Support your team, read your books

  • Battle of the books is a special opportunity for 5th graders. We launch this exciting endeavor late in October.
  • Ralston's Battle of the Books will be in February. Exact date TBD
  • Jeffco Competition will be in March. Exact date TBD
